🦭 is U+1F9AD SEAL (Unicode 13.0). There is no sea lion emoji — so our mascot has been borrowing a seal's face this whole time. The seal hasn't noticed. We have.

Sea lions have external ears. Seals have… holes.

Sea lions walk on all four flippers. Seals do the caterpillar.

Sea lions haul out in loud, social crowds on the shore. Which is, you may notice, the whole idea of this site.
